Align images

When adding an image to the page, always align it either to the left or the right of the page, as this will allow the text to wrap around the image. If you don’t set the alignment the text will start underneath the image and you will be left with a blank space around the image.

The image below shows an image added to the page without it being aligned either to the left or right of the page, meaning the content starts below the image and there is a large, empty gap next to the image.

Bad example - the content doesnt wrap around the image meaning there is a large, empty gap where the content should be located

The image below shows that when the image is aligned to either the left or right side of the page, the content wraps around the image ensuring there is no empty gap to the side of the image.

Good example - The image is aligned to the right of the page and the text wraps nicely around the image

  • Financial website requirements for single & multi-academy trusts

In June 2021, the Education and Skills Funding Agency released updated guidance relating to the financial requirements for Single- and Multi-Academy Trusts

The full list of changes can be found on the government website or in the 2021 edition of the Academy Trust Handbook 2021 and we strongly recommend that all academy members, trustees, local governors, accounting officers, chief financial officers, auditors and governance professionals read the document prior to the regulations coming into effect on 1 September 2021

Academy Trusts must comply with the Academy Trust Handbook as a condition of their funding agreement. It provides an overarching framework for implementation of effective financial management and other controls, consistent with your obligations as publicly funded bodies.
