Align images

When adding an image to the page, always align it either to the left or the right of the page, as this will allow the text to wrap around the image. If you don’t set the alignment the text will start underneath the image and you will be left with a blank space around the image.

The image below shows an image added to the page without it being aligned either to the left or right of the page, meaning the content starts below the image and there is a large, empty gap next to the image.

Bad example - the content doesnt wrap around the image meaning there is a large, empty gap where the content should be located

The image below shows that when the image is aligned to either the left or right side of the page, the content wraps around the image ensuring there is no empty gap to the side of the image.

Good example - The image is aligned to the right of the page and the text wraps nicely around the image

Many schools and trusts are working on ways to ensure that home-school communications are provided in all of the languages required by their EAL community so that their parents and students can be informed, included and aware of all that is happening within the wider organisation.
